SFC 50th ANNIVERSARY

Stockwood Free Church celebrated it’s 50th Anniversary in 2013. After a year when we made extra efforts to reach our local community, we celebrated the Anniversary Weekend of 7-8 December by welcoming over 160 past and present members, including two former pastors and several friends from back in the 1960s.

Saturday Evening Social

This was an evening of fun entertainment with acts from each decade since the 1960s. As well as laughing over photographs of ourselves as we were when we first joined the church, we looked back at world and local events over the fifty years.

Sunday Morning Worship

The church was full for this All-age Service, when Nigel Coles, the Senior Regional Minister for the West of England reminding us to “Fix our Eyes upon Jesus” for the future, as well as giving thanks for the past. After the service we enjoyed a buffet lunch together before ending the weekend with a service of favourite hymns.
